What is Lymphatic massage?

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, full-body massage treatment which helps to detoxify the body and stimulate the body’s immune system to promote healing and to fight infection.

How does it work?

The lymphatic system is a broad system of vessels, which transport fluid between the lymph glands. This process uses muscular movement to trigger its infection fighting detox function. Through gentle massage, the Lymphatic system helps the body move excess toxins, water and metabolic waste in a way that cleanses the body and promotes the immune system.

Our deep lymphatic massage in Oxford Circus can be performed on the legs, arms, belly and even on the face and scalp.

Who is the treatment for?

We recommend lymphatic drainage as a particularly effective treatment for edema, cellulitis, post-operative plastic surgery and pregnancy.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment is painless.

For the most part lymphatic drainage massage is safe. However, lymphatic drainage is contraindicated for people with infection because infectious cells can fall into the lymphatic system and spread more easily through the body. Patients with vascular risk, thrombosis, acute inflammation, malignant tumors, and major heart problems should also avoid treatment.

This is a treatment that must be done frequently to get results and prevent fluid retention and for this, it is recommended from one to three sessions per week.
